Tummy and taste series: Banana Pakistani Aseel Dates Popsicle

Pakistani Aseel Dates are healthy and bananas are everybody’s best friends. Popsicles are one thing in the world that you just cannot let go of and when all three of them come together you know the day is made.

What you need:

1 dozen pitted Pakistani Aseel Dates

8 Almonds

1 Banana

1 + ½ cup Milk

7-8 Raisins

Method:

  1. Take half cup warm milk and soak the pitted Pakistani Aseel Dates in it for about 15 to 20 minutes.
  2. Take another bowl with hot water and soak almonds in it for half an hour.
  3. Peel off the skin of the almonds once they are soft.
  4. Now take a blender and add milk, soaked almonds, Pakistani Aseel Dates and the banana into it and blend well.
  5. Now take another cup of milk and add to this mixture. Mix well.
  6. Cut raisins into small pieces and out some into the popsicle molds.  You can also add some crushed almonds into it.
  7. Now pour the mixture into the molds and freeze them overnight.
  8. Take out the popsicles from the molds the next morning and enjoy cold.

You can put some chocolate syrup on the popsicles but this totally depends on how you like it. You can make changes in the recipe by adding other nuts such as walnuts or pistachios and customize it according to your taste.

The recipe doesn’t have sugar in it because Pakistani Aseel Dates are already sweet and can provide the sweetness alone.
