Many experts in the world of nutrition and nourishment regard dates as a ‘superfood.’ The superior versions of dates such as Aseel dates, grown in Pakistan, are particularly beneficial because of the health benefits they bring in the form of low calories and high density of nutrients. Another nutritious way of using dates is to combine them with other superfoods such as raisins, nuts, almonds and so on. One could easily make granola or cereal bars at home by grinding all the contents such as Pakistani dates, nuts, raisins together making a batter out of them which can later be baked and made into bars which can be consumed during breakfast or evening snacks.

Dates Syrup

Date syrup is made using dates without seeds. The dates are cooked with water until they form a paste like material which is then filtered to get rid of any insoluble parts of the dates. Dates syrup can used in various recipes or can be consumed alone. It has anti-bacterial properties and provide the energy you need to get your day started.
